GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DR-6255 appears as a COM port device and can be used for any application. The standard reader is configured to read the CSN of the most popular smart cards in the security industry and output the CSN as a Wiegand 26-Bit output. A tri-color LED indicator and a buzzer provide feedback for successful card reads.

The standard reader outputs the Wiegand CSN data in Wiegand 26-Bit format. Other Wiegand formats are selectable using the DR-6255 Hardware Configuration Tool PC software
